AI governance, automation and training from one accountable partner

VisionXY7 works in three practices. Most clients start with one, prove the return, then move to the next. Every price on this page is published, starts from a stated minimum and excludes VAT; offers for individuals also show the VAT-inclusive price.

Practice 01

AI Strategy, Readiness & Governance

Know exactly where AI creates value and risk in your organisation — and hold the evidence a board, auditor or regulator will ask for.

Owners and directors starting with AICompliance, risk and DPO leadsBoards of regulated organisations

Also delivered in this practice: an ISO/IEC 27001-led review of the information-security risks in your AI systems — data, access, suppliers and incidents — built on the founder’s Lead Auditor method.

Business value

  • A written position on whether the EU AI Act applies to you before stand-alone high-risk duties start on 2 December 2027.
  • One register of where AI is used, what data it touches and who owns each risk.
  • Evidence a certification body, insurer or tender panel will accept — not a folder of unused policies.
  • A clear first fix, instead of a long list of everything that could be better.

Questions about governance

What is an AI readiness audit?

An AI readiness audit is an independent review of how ready an organisation is to use AI, covering strategy, data quality, security, skills, governance and regulatory exposure. It ends with a prioritised list of what to fix first. VisionXY7's audits range from a free self-assessment to a full on-site audit from £2,000.

Does ISO 27001 cover AI?

Partly. ISO/IEC 27001 covers the information security of AI systems: the data they use, access controls, suppliers and incidents. It does not govern AI-specific risks such as bias, transparency or human oversight; that is the job of ISO/IEC 42001, the AI management system standard. Both share the same structure, so a 27001 system extends naturally.

Which ISO standards apply to AI?

Four standards matter most. ISO/IEC 42001 sets requirements for an AI management system and is certifiable. ISO/IEC 23894 gives guidance on managing AI risk, and ISO/IEC 42005 on assessing an AI system's impact. ISO/IEC 27001 covers information security, including the data AI systems use, and is also certifiable.

Does the EU AI Act apply to UK companies?

It can. The EU AI Act applies where an AI system's output is used in the EU, not only where the provider is based, so UK organisations serving EU customers may be in scope. Duties for stand-alone high-risk systems apply from 2 December 2027. VisionXY7 gives a written applicability determination in 2 to 3 days.

Practice 02

Custom AI & Automation

Take repetitive work out of your front desk, inbox, sales and operations with AI agents that are measured from day one and always answerable to a named person.

Operations and finance leadsCTOs and IT managersOwner-managed firms with a phone or inbox bottleneck

How every build is delivered: a 2–6 week pilot on one workflow; the success number agreed before the build; the ROI checkpoint guarantee (a 30-day post-launch review against the agreed outcomes, refined at no extra cost if it is not delivering); a human checkpoint before anything consequential reaches a customer; third-party API and telephony costs billed at the provider’s rates; ISO/IEC 27001-aligned security.

Business value

  • Hours returned from repetitive admin, measured per workflow rather than estimated.
  • Faster response to customers and leads, including out of hours.
  • A payback figure for each automation before you fund the next one.
  • Automation you can audit: every action logged, explainable and owned by a person.

Questions about automation

How much does a custom AI agent cost in the UK?

At VisionXY7, a single-purpose custom AI agent starts from £449 plus from £19 a month for hosting and monitoring, and a mid-market agent build from £1,499. A voice agent on one channel starts from £1,499 plus from £99 a month. Third-party API and telephony costs are billed at the provider's rates. All prices exclude VAT.

What is n8n, and why use it for automation?

n8n is a workflow automation platform that connects business systems, AI models and APIs into automated processes. VisionXY7 uses it to orchestrate agents with tools such as email, calendars, CRMs and documents, which makes each workflow visible, auditable and easy to change, and keeps the logic under your control rather than locked inside one vendor.

How long does it take to build an AI agent?

Most VisionXY7 agents go live as a controlled pilot on one workflow within 2 to 6 weeks. The success measure, such as hours saved or response time, is agreed before the build starts. The agent is scaled only once the pilot proves the number, and a 30-day post-launch review checks it against the agreed outcomes.

Who is accountable when an AI agent makes a mistake?

A named person in your organisation stays accountable for every automated decision. VisionXY7 designs each agent with a human checkpoint before anything consequential reaches a customer, logs what the agent did and why, and sets clear limits on what it may do alone. Accountability is agreed with you before the agent goes live.

Practice 03

Executive & Team Upskilling

Give your board and teams the judgement to direct, question and govern AI — taught by a Senior Lecturer who also audits it.

  • Teams using approved tools well, instead of unsanctioned “shadow AI”.
  • In-house capacity to run internal AI reviews between external audits.
  • Less dependence on consultants — including us.

Questions about training

What should an AI course for executives cover?

An executive AI course should cover what AI can and cannot do, where it creates value in your sector, the risks a board must oversee, the regulatory picture including the EU AI Act, and how to question a vendor or project team. VisionXY7's board session covers each of these in half a day, from £2,400.

Who delivers VisionXY7's training?

VisionXY7 training is led personally by Dr Mahdi Seify, a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MSc Business Analytics at the University of Northampton, and an ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor and Lead Implementer. Sessions combine academic rigour with lessons from more than 100 cross-sector projects and are tailored to your tools.

The boundary

VisionXY7 prepares organisations for ISO/IEC 42001 certification and reviews their systems independently. Certification itself can only be granted by a certification body accredited under ISO/IEC 42006; no consultancy can certify.
